Arrival in the neon heart of Osaka
Dotonbori Canal Walk
Start where Osaka shows off: the canal-side strip lined with the Glico running man sign, giant mechanical crabs and pufferfish lanterns. Walk both banks before sunset for daylight photos, then again after dark for the neon.

Hozenji Yokocho Lantern Alley
A two-block stone-paved lane just off Dotonbori, lined with lanterns and the moss-covered Hozenji temple statue locals splash with water for luck. Quiet counterpoint to the canal chaos a minute away.
