Gyeongbokgung Palace and Throne Hall
The grandest of the Joseon palaces, Geunjeongjeon throne hall, the floating Gyeonghoeru pavilion on its lotus pond, and the changing-of-the-guard ceremony at the front gate. Entry around KRW 3,000.

Gwanghwamun Square and Cheonggyecheon walk
Stroll past the King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sun-sin statues, then drop down to the recessed Cheonggyecheon stream and follow it east as the lanterns come on.
